Following the footsteps of many entrepreneurs, Ethan Jones seized the chance to establish a business that caters to the need for a nearby meat processing facility.
Swine and Bovine Processing is a meat processing facility in Wray, Colorado, that custom harvests, ages, and packages swine and bovine livestock.
“When the COVID-19 pandemic brought about a pressing need for more options and appointment availability, we expedited the construction and operations of our facility to better serve those in need of our services,” said Jones. “Our facility was built to process 15-25 bovine and 10 swine per week, in a state-of-the-art and modern way. We pride ourselves in maintaining the quality our local ranchers produce.”
S&B’s facility is currently state-inspected, but they’re thrilled to be seeking federal inspection through the USDA. This would enable them to custom process for retail producers. “Following our grant of inspection, we plan to support local producers by purchasing their livestock to sell through our retail meat counter.”
